What is CLAHRC SY?
The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care for South Yorkshire (CLAHRC SY) is one of nine national CLAHRCs funded from 2008 – 2013 by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and other partners.
CLAHRC SY works closely with the NHS, higher education, patients and carers, industry, charity, and third sector partners to improve patient outcomes through self-management of long-term conditions. We are doing so by undertaking high quality applied research, translating research findings into healthcare practice, and supporting our partner organisations in increasing their capacity to undertake research and implementation activities.
