Information for Patients - Written Translations
The parent /professional leaflet has been translated into 17 languages:
Arabic, Bengali, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, French (as spoken in Africa); Gujarati, Hindi, Kurdish, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese (African), Romanian, Russian, Somali, Spanish (South American), Turkish, Urdu.
The 17 languages selected are based on information from UK National Screening Committee - this data has been checked against the Office of National Statistics population data that records country of birth of mothers and future projections of births. We are confident that the 17 languages cover all major population groups.

The Parent/ health professional leaflet has been updated to version 20. Hard copies are currently being printed and distributed to midwifery teams
